American Pet Products Association Promotes Staff Members

American Pet Products Association (APPA) Executive Vice President and COO Andrew Darmohraj has announced three staff promotions.

Kaitlin Simonfay-Stewart (pictured here) has been promoted from associate manager, Exhibitor Services to manager, Exhibitor Services. In her current role, Simonfay-Stewart manages all aspects of Global Pet Expo exhibitor services, including identifying new business, providing customer service, and maintaining active relationships with internal and external clients. In addition, after earning her certification in exhibition management, Simonfay-Stewart continues to be active in the IAEE community as a founding member of the NY Chapter YP Committee.

Alexis Vallario has been promoted from administrative coordinator to assistant manager, Administration. In her current position, Vallario manages general office operations and now takes on a more involved role in registration for Global Pet Expo, the premier industry event. She has an MBA in management from Long Island University-Hudson, and is a member of the APPA Young Professionals Committee.

Chris Bonifati has been promoted from attendee services coordinator to assistant manager, Attendee Services. In his position, Bonifati manages the new buyer qualification process for Global Pet Expo, by reviewing proofs of business and providing aid throughout the process. He also maintains the buyer database and oversees efforts to streamline the registration process.  Bonifati earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and is an active member of the IAEE Young Professionals.

They have all grown tremendously within their roles at the association and in their contributions to the pet industry,” Darmohraj said. “We look forward to their continued leadership and growth.”
