American Nutrition, a custom manufacturer that produces pet food and treats for branded companies and retailers, says it is pleased to announce that Business Manager Tamara Reddy has been appointed to The Arizona Pet Project’s board of directors, effective July 1. Reddy will play an instrumental role with the organization as its mission expands to include providing resources for families in need of financial support to care for their pets.

“I am honored to be a part of something that I’m passionate about,” Reddy said. “I cannot imagine having to face the difficult decision to give up a furry member of my family due to financial strain. It would be heartbreaking. Providing much-needed resources to families faced with this difficult decision will be incredibly fulfilling personally but will also enable these families to stay whole. Whether it be connecting them with housing resources, to one of our pet food pantry partners or covering veterinary expenses, our overall goal is to keep these families together and keep these very loved pets from entering the shelter.  I’m looking forward to continuing the good work of The Arizona Pet Project and am thrilled to be joining such a talented and diverse board who share a passion for this cause.”

Reddy first became involved with The Arizona Pet Project in 2003 when she was invited to the organization’s annual Hero Awards. In 2014, she began volunteering to help with the silent auction and sponsorship development associated with the same event. American Nutrition became a sponsor of the annual Hero Awards in 2015.
