Alpine Outfitters Donates Collars, Leashes to Three Rivers Humane Society

Press release: Alpine Outfitters

Alpine Outfitters, makers of handcrafted and high-quality gear for working and active dogs, has partnered with Three Rivers Humane Society. Through this partnership, Alpine Outfitters has been providing Three Rivers Humane Society with 1,200 collars and leash sets for one year beginning this past September. The sets will be available in five colors.

Based in Madras, Oregon, Three Rivers Humane Society was born from the idea that shelter animals deserve the best care possible. Thanks to their passionate, dedicated and hardworking staff, their organization adopts out approximately 90 dogs per month.  They are committed to promoting healthy, safe and lifelong relationships between people and their pets through sustainable programs of education, adoption and spay/neutering. Their mission is to continuously fight for the abused and abandoned, and foster a community where no companion animal will be killed because it is homeless.

“New pet parents love having the option to purchase a collar after adoption due to its convenience as well as the added contribution to our organization,” said Kim Hawkins, Assistant Shelter Manager at Three Rivers Humane Society. “We currently have a Lupine Pet Collar wall at our facility that out staff has been discussing expanding. We are so grateful for our partnership with Alpine Outfitters and for their generous product donation. Their collars and leads will make a wonderful addition to our growing selection!”

Since 1988, Alpine Outfitters has been crafting high-quality gear for working and active dogs. Over the years, their heritage and quality reputation for meeting the needs of sled dogs and their mushers has expanded to include dry land and urban mushing and other fun, dog-powered activities including skijoring, bikejoring, canicross, jogging and hiking. Some of their product offerings have also crossed over to other dog sports such as flyball and hunting.

Alpine Outfitters feels a dog’s comfort and safety should be made a top priority. Their products are designed and made with pride in Bend, Oregon, using the highest quality raw materials, and field-tested and proven by dogs locally and around the world.

“As a local company, it is our hope that by providing Three Rivers Humane Society with our collar and leash sets we will be encouraging new pet parents to stay active with their adopted pet,” expressed Bruce Stegmaier, owner of Alpine Outfitters, “Exercise is crucial for a dog’s mental and physical health, and we truly believe that every active dog needs a collar and leash from Alpine! Our team is thrilled to partner up with such a passionate organization and we know both dogs and adopters will greatly appreciate and benefit from our products.”
