Woofables Gourmet Dog Biscuit Bakery announced today the purchase of Taxi’s Dog Bakery, a well-established dog biscuit business based out of western Massachusetts.

Taxi’s Dog Bakery started in 1998 and specialized in smaller dog treats and gourmet dog treat gift packages. And much like Woofables, Taxi’s has a loyal retail customers throughout the United States.

“This purchase not only expands Woofables’ product line with small designer treats and gift packaging, but also adds more than 90 new resellers to include recognizable customers such as Dylon’s Candies, Ritz Carlton Hotels, and Yankee Candles,” said Laura Taylor, co-owner of Woofables.

Sunia Hood, president of Taxi’s Dog Bakery, discovered Woofables through one of her existing customers, and she liked what she saw. So when she decided to sell her business, she reached out to Wwoofables treatsoofables to explore potential interest.

“It makes sense for me to sell my business to Woofables because we share the same passio
n for quality treats and excellent service,” Hood said. “I especially like the fresh ideas and energy Woofables will deliver to our former customers.”

Taxi’s will close the Massachusetts operations, and Woofables will absorb the product line and customer base. During the next few weeks, Woofables will add a range of new products to its website and into their wholesale catalog.

“This acquisition is very exciting for us,” Taylor said. “Adding product variety will be nice for our existing customers, and we look forward to introducing Woofables products to our new Taxi’s Bakery customers.”
