2016’s SuperZoo will offer more than 80 seminars—more than twice as many as any other pet retail show—covering a range of topics directly related to operating a profitable pet retail or pet services company.

Sessions will address store layout and merchandising, effective social media, animal wellness, management and training, grooming techniques and more. Plus, new topics for 2016 will cover marketing to Millennials, utilizing Facebook effectively, handling conflict with problem customers or employees, and better understanding human resources.

“Retail Training Boot Camp: The Tools Your Staff Needs to Succeed” will be led by Lynn Switanowski. It will explain ways to influence the customer and build relationships. During “Selling Between Generations,” Bob Phibbs will share tips about selling to different age groups.

Social media will be explored during “Facebook Strategies: Using Facebook Ads” with Crystal Vilkaitis. She will discuss strategies for gaining exposure on Facebook and putting Facebook ads to work.

Five major HR topics to improve long-term growth will be the focus of “HR 101 for Small Businesses” with Lori Kleiman. “WPA’s 2016 Pet Retail Performance Report: Identify Profit Opportunities” will cover key trends in the pet industry and outline new opportunities for boosting profits in the coming year.
