Superior Farms Pet Provisions has New Sales VP

Superior Farms, North America’s largest lamb producer, announced that Kenneth Wilks has joined Superior Farms Pet Provisions (SFPP), the company’s pet division, as the new vice president of sales. Most recently serving as sales and marketing director for the pet division of W.F. Young, Inc., Wilks has an extensive pet food marketing portfolio that spans more than 15 years promoting specialty products to consumers of the pet food industry.

Gary Pfeiffer, president of SFPP, led the search.

“As Superior Farms Pet Provisions continues to expand its reach and deliver new and exciting products, I felt that it was essential to have someone on board who knows pet food sales inside and out. Ken Wilks is that guy, and we are really excited to welcome him into the Superior Farms Family,” Pfeiffer said. “Ken’s experience growing natural brands includes the widespread introduction of raw frozen food to the pet specialty channel at Nature’s Variety and the early growth of Merrick brand pet foods and treats. Ken will help Superior Farms capitalize on their supply-side vertical integration with the launch of natural pet foods & treats that are increasingly sourced ‘from our farms to you.’”

SFPP offers natural, wholesome treats and chews made from 100 percent lamb, venison and other natural proteins. SFPP also markets the Mary’s Free Range line of raw organic pet diets.
