Pet lovers enjoy receiving a lick or two from pets, but bad breath can be a deterring factor. She said some pets can get away with less if they are given plenty of chew toys and their teeth are brushed regularly, at least a couple times a week, but small breeds are more predisposed to dental disease and may require more frequent cleanings.
