Radio Systems Corporation, the maker of the PetSafe, Invisible Fence  and SportDOG , has won the Knoxville Chamber’s 2015 Pinnacle Business Award for Large Business Excellence. The company was honored with the award at a black tie optional gala on May 8 at the Knoxville Convention Center.

Now in its eleventh year, the Knoxville Chamber’s Pinnacle Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in local businesses and executives. The Chamber received more than 180 nominations for this year’s awards, which were reviewed and scored by its board of directors to determine the 24 finalists and eight winners.

The Large Business Excellence Award honors a non-franchisee company with over 201 employees headquartered (or having a significant presence) in East Tennessee that has shown remarkable profitability, growth and stability and has made significant investments in facilities and employees. The winning company must be recognized regionally, nationally and/or internationally in its respective business sector, while demonstrating leadership in the sector as well.

“Radio Systems Corporation is dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners by providing high-quality products and excellent customer service, while also giving back to our communities,” said Willie Wallace, CEO of Radio Systems Corporation. “Receiving the Large Business Excellence Award demonstrates that we’re making a difference in our community, and we’re honored to be recognized for this success by the Chamber.”

Radio Systems Corporation has become the first company to win in four categories of the Pinnacle Business Awards. The company took home the James A. Haslam, II Leadership Award for Radio Systems Founder and Executive Chairman Randy Boyd last year, as well as the Impact Award in 2013 and the Innovator Award in 2006.
