Petland has once again been ranked among top-ranked franchises around the world.
Entrepreneur magazine released its rankings of the top Global Franchisees, rating Petland #32, up from #190 in 2016.
Earlier this year, Petland ranked 188 overall in the Entrepreneur magazine’s 38th Annual Franchise 500, a ranking of North American franchises.
“It is an incredible honor to be recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as a top franchise across the globe,” Petland, Inc. President and CEO Joe Watson said. “This recognition demonstrates the universal relevance of the Petland brand and of our proprietary operating model which focuses on the human-animal bond and matching the right pet with the right person.”
International growth at Petland has been at a record high. Petland Brazil opened its 36th Petland location this month, and Petland El Salvador just opened its third location (pictured above). Petland master franchisees in Saudi Arabia are planning the opening of their first location in the fourth quarter of 2017.
“The strength of the Petland franchise system is a true reflection of the dedication of Petland franchisees located around the world,” Petland, Inc. Vice President of Business Development Steve Huggins said. “The Petland brand continues to be a world leader in pet retail.”
In conducting its rating of franchises around the world, Entrepreneur considers numerous factors, including the company’s Franchise 500 ranking, which determines a score based on such things as financial strength, stability, growth rate and size of the franchise system. The Franchise 500 ranking is then compared with international size and growth of the franchise to determine the global rank.
Petland, Inc. is a franchise operation with full service retail pet centers across the United States, Canada, Japan, China, Mexico, South Africa, Brazil and El Salvador.
