This November, Pet Valu, a specialty retailer of premium pet food, treats, toys and accessories, will collect pet food and supplies for local homeless animals through its annual Thanks for Giving collection drive.

Benefitting thousands of animals living at shelters and rescues, Pet Valu is accepting product and food supplies in-store for pets. Pet Valu locations will also offer $5 “feed-a-pet-for-a-week” package which includes enough to feed a homeless dog or cat for a week. Customers will also find many “great to donate” items throughout the store.

“Our customer’s contributions through this campaign will directly support the animals in their community that do not have homes,” explained Joe Dent, chief store operations officer at Pet Valu. “From purchasing a $5 food package to donating pet toys, the Pet Valu community is making a big difference in the lives of local animals that desperately need attention and help.”

Each Pet Valu store will identify a local shelter or rescue to be the recipient of the collection, ensuring customer donations stay in their respective communities.
