Pet Sitters International, Wearsafe Labs to Make Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Safer

April 20, 2017

Pet Sitters International (PSI), the world’s leading association for professional pet sitters, and Wearsafe Labs, maker of the Wearsafe Safety Service and wearable Tag, announced that Wearsafe is now available for pet sitters, dog walkers and pet owners to purchase directly from the PSI website.

Wearsafe is the only wearable personal safety device on the market that instantly sends preselected contacts the wearer’s precise GPS location, live audio stream from the wearer’s location, and activates instant group communication.

PSI President Patti J. Moran says that the safety of professional pet sitters and dog walkers is a top concern as most work alone and are often entering clients’ homes in the early mornings or late evenings.

“We’re proud to offer the innovative Wearsafe Safety Service at a discount to help keep pet sitters and dog walkers well-connected and able to offer their pet-care services more confidently,” Moran said.

A year of Wearsafe Service—and free Wearsafe Tag—is available for purchase at for a discounted price of $50.00, plus shipping and handling.

Moran adds that PSI is thrilled to make this personal safety service and device available in time for the inaugural observance of Pet-Sitter Safety Month, which kicks off on May 1.

“The partnership between Wearsafe and PSI ensures the safety of pet owners and pet-care professionals,” Wearsafe CEO and co-founder Dave Benoit said. “By increasing availability of our safety service through industry leaders such as PSI, Wearsafe is fulfilling our mission to make the world a safer place by redefining the way people seek and provide help.”
