PET AGE Presents Retailer Select Awards
Buyers cast hundreds of ballots for their favorite items in the Product Showcase during H.H. Backer Associates’ 43rd Annual Pet Industry Christmas Trade Show and Educational Conference, held Oct. 2-4 in Rosemont, Ill.—and the top vote-getters received PET AGE “Retailer Select” Awards for Product Excellence presented by Patty Backer, president of H.H. Backer Associates Inc., Colette Fairchild, trade show director, and Karen Long MacLeod, associate publisher/editor in chief of PET AGE.
Gold Retailer Select Award: Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp. (Mansfield, Mass.), for the Fluval Edge Aquarium, a 6-gallon aquarium that combines aesthetics with easy-to-maintain features.
Silver Retailer Select Award: Maglife L.L.C. (Seponk, N.Y.), for Condo Betta Blocks, interlocking, stackable aquarium cubes that incorporate the unique Sediment Removal System.
Bronze Retailer Select Award: Pioneer Pet/Smart Cat (Cedarburg, Wis.), for the futuristic, electricity-powered Rain Drop Fountain. [December 2009 PET AGE]
