Backer Gives Prizes in Royal Flush Contest
H.H. Backer’s Royal Flush Contest, which gave qualified buyers a chance to win $50,000 in cash and prizes, was a big hit during the Pet Industry Christmas Trade Show and Educational Conference, held Oct. 2-4 in Rosemont (Chicago), Ill. No one hit the big jackpot, but three people drew royal flush hands to win $250 on top of prizes supplied by contest sponsors.
The biggest daily prizes went to:
- Karen Beecher of KB Treats (Bloomington, Ill.), an HP PhotoSmart printer.
- Candi Baumann, of Aitkin Feed and Farm Supply (Aitkin, Minn.), a $300 Visa gift card.
- Jessica Curry of Pet Supplies Plus (Danville, Ill.), a Garmin Nuvi GPS car navigation system.
Beecher, Baumann and Susan Staszewski of Bone Appetite (South Bend, Ind.) all drew royal flush hands worth an additional $250.
Other daily winners included Randy Brettschneider of JPS Dog Training (Rockford, Ill.); Neil Kupfer of Pet Food Warehouse (St. Petersburg, Fla.); Denise DeSaulnier of De La Pooch Boutique & Styling (Bradenton, Fla.); Mellonie Stoebich of Kathleen White Designs (Elm Grove, Wis.); and Donna Czubernat of Animal Traks Pet Grooming (Lombard, Ill.).
