Groomers Compete at Carolina GroomFest
Olga Zabelinskaya of Grooming Gallery (Morris Plains, N.J.) won Best in Show honors at the eighth Carolina GroomFest, held in May in Columbia, S.C., by the National Dog Groomers Association of America Inc. (Clark, Pa.).
The award was sponsored by Gibson-Governor Insurance Inc. (Vienna, Ohio).
Zabelinskaya also was named Best All-Around Groomer in Division A, sponsored by Governor. She placed first in the Division A terrier class, sponsored by The Groomer’s Mall (Midlothian, Va.); and in the Division A all other purebreds class, sponsored by Precision Sharp Co. (Mount Wolf, Pa.).
Irina Pinkusevich of Merryfield School (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) placed first in the Division A poodle class, sponsored by Wag’n Tails Mobile Conversions (Granger, Ind.); and in the Division A sporting class, sponsored by Groomer’s Helper (Margate City, N.J.). She took home the prestigious Liz Paul Best Scissored Poodle award.
Sandra Carter of Doggie Kitty Wellness (Morrisville, N.C.) took first place in the Gibson-Governor Insurance Inc. Career Start contest for competitors with less than a year’s experience.
