Attendance Good at All American Grooming Show
The 37th All American Grooming Show, held Aug. 13-16 in Wheeling, Ill., matched its draw from last year by hosting 1,200 trade visitors, including 84 contestants with 209 entries, and more than 94 vendor booths, according to show producer Jerry Schinberg.
Michell Evans of The Grooming Tutor (Albuquerque, N.M.) won Best in Show honors with a poodle from the Large, Non-Sporting Breeds Division. Her award was sponsored by The Andis Co. (Racine, Wis.).
Greta Dalrymple of Top Notch Grooming Salon (Niles, Mich.) was named Best All-Around Stylist. Her award was sponsored by the All American Grooming Show (Des Plaines, Ill.).
Jaclyn Lamkin of Naperville, Ill., was named Best First-Time Competitor, receiving an award from Hanvey Specialty Engineering (Sunset, S.C.).
Angela Kumpe of Angela’s Grooming (Little Rock, Ark.), won the creative styling competition with her “Cherokee Nation” entry. The competition was sponsored by Gibson-Governor Insurance Inc. (Vienna, Ohio).
Robin Stelse of Delavan, Wis., won the debut abstract design competition, which was sponsored by the All American Grooming Show.
