Global Pets Forum 2007 Slated
The worldwide retail markets for private-label and consumer-brand
products will be the focus of Global Pets Forum 2007, to be
held Jan. 18-19 at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel in Copenhagen,
Denmark.
Organized by Pets International Magazine (Amersfoort, Netherlands),
the forum will feature a panel of European industry experts.
Jeff Freeman, manager of research for the Private Label Manufacturing
Association, will present “The Market of Private Labels,”
covering the development of private-label products and their
impact on retailers, consumers and brands.
Graham Hales, managing director of Interbrand, a leading
brand consulting firm, will show how brands compete successfully
against private labels in “The Market for Consumer Brands.”
Mike Handley, chairman of Luhns GmbH and Macphie of Glenbervie
Ltd., will provide business models to help small and large
companies sell both private-label and consumer-branded products
in “Business Models to Survive the Battle.”
Michel van Tongeren, chief executive officer for SVT Branding
& Design, will discuss how retailers can brand themselves
in “How To Be Perceived as a (Retail) Brand.”
Christine Cross, a brand consultant, will show how to direct
consumers’ perception of a brand in “How Can the
Consumer’s Attitude Be Influenced.”
Frank Difatta, president of Petland Inc. (Chillicothe, Ohio),
will discuss how private labels and consumer brands contribute
to his store’s image in “Pet Retailer: Why Private
Labels and How to Deal With Brands.”
