FTFFA Elects Officers and Directors
Donald Drawdy was inducted into the Florida Tropical Fish Farms Association’s Hall of Fame during the group’s annual meeting, held June 14 in Ruskin, Fla.
Drawdy and his wife, Fran, founded Imperial Tropicals (Lakeland, Fla.) in 1970. He served on the board of directors of the Winter Haven, Fla., association for many years, and was its president for two years. In addition, he has participated in many industry-related committees and was a director of the Florida Farm Bureau.
Also at the meeting, members elected officers and directors for 2009. Returning officers are Arthur Rawlins of Rawlins Tropical Fish (Lithia, Fla.), president; David Drawdy of Oakridge Fish Hatchery (Plant City, Fla.), vice president; Cindy Liles of Liles Tropical Fish Inc. (Ruskin, Fla.), secretary; and Mike Hennessy of EkkWill Waterlife Resources (Gibsonton, Fla.), treasurer.
Directors serving through 2011 are Gary David of Sunrise Tropicals Inc. (Lakeland, Fla.); Pierre LePochat of WaterScapes Aquatic Plant Nursery (Seffner, Fla.); Jeff Carter of Carter’s Fish Hatchery (Wimauma, Fla.); Jason Diaz of 5-D Tropical Inc.
