SuperZoo Offers Makeover Prize
One lucky retailer will win animal display habitats worth up to $40,000 in the Pet Store Super Makeover drawing at SuperZoo, set for Sept. 15-17 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The makeover contest is co-sponsored by The World Wide Pet Industry Association (Monrovia, Calif.) and North American Pet Products (Corona, Calif.). The show is produced and managed by WWPIA.
“SuperZoo not only brings together the best buyers, sellers and experts within the pet industry, but also provides retailers with the skills necessary to improve their businesses through the course offerings at SuperZoo University,” said Doug Poindexter, president of WWPIA. “WWPIA’s goal is to provide retailers with a trade show experience that truly is a return on investment for them, and SuperZoo 2009 aims to do just that.”
SuperZoo University will offer numerous seminars covering subjects such as increasing sales, marketing, animal wellness and social media. Additional courses will cover staff development and management. In addition to helping retailers improve their skills, the sessions allow participants to network and make peer connections.
SuperZoo will announce top products from the New Product Showcase during the second day of the show.
In addition, SuperZoo will produce the Groomer SuperShow, a series of contests and seminars for pet groomers held in partnership with Oster Professional Products (Boca Raton, Fla.).
