Reptile Breeders Conference Set for Chicago in October
Reptile enthusiasts from across the country are expected to attend the seventh annual North American Reptile Breeders Conference and Trade Show, Oct. 13-14 at the Tinley Park Holiday Inn Select in Tinley Park, Ill.
Produced by Eco Herpetological Publishing & Distribution (Lansing, Mich.) and Chicago Reptile House Inc. (Orland Park, Ill.), the event will feature more than 100 dealers offering more than 10,000 captive-bred geckos, frogs, iguanas, snakes, lizards and tortoises as well as herp supplies. All animal exhibitors will be audited to ensure their compliance with federal and state laws, as well as the guidelines of the Herpetological Society and the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council (Washington).
The event also will feature educational lectures and special events sponsored by The Gourmet Rodent Inc. (Archer, Fla.), Timberline Live Pet Foods (Marion, Ill.) and T-Rex Products (Chula Vista, Calif.), plus a live auction to raise money for PIJAC, the pet industry's legislative watchdog.
