Promotes Home Aquariums
Visitors to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa are gaining fresh
insight into the hobby of fish-keeping, thanks to a new display
that features 21 stunning fresh- and saltwater home aquariums.
Opened on Memorial Day weekend, AquariuMania! portrays the
home of an “aquariumaniac”—someone who is
crazy about fish—to give visitors ideas on how to can
create their own home aquariums.
In addition, the interactive exhibit explains the history
and science of fish-keeping and provides an overview of the
business of farming tropical fish.
The display is sponsored in part by the Florida Tropical
Fish Farms Association (Winter Haven) and the American Pet
Products Manufacturers Association (Greenwich, Conn.).
