Pet Care Trust Presents Sue Busch Memorial Awards
Six students of veterinary technology have received 2006 Sue
J. Busch Memorial Awards, administered by The Pet Care Trust
(Arcadia, Calif.), for devoting significant time and energy
to improving the health of companion animals.
Each student received a $250 award:
Mika H. Eason of Ogeechee Technical College (Statesboro,
Ga.).
Leah Henning of National American University (Rapid City,
S.D.).
Mylene Larochelle of the College of Saint-Hyacinthe (Saint-Hyacinthe,
Quebec).
Amber Russell of Murry State College (Tishomingo, Okla.).
Christina Warne of Seneca College of Applied Arts &
Technology (King City, Ontario).
Holli Vitti of Macomb Community College (Clinton Township,
Mich.).
The scholarship awards commemorate the late Sue J. Busch,
former president of H.H. Backer Associates Inc. (Chicago),
which publishes PET AGE magazine and produces the Pet Industry
Spring and Pet Industry Christmas trade shows. Busch served
on The Pet Care Trust’s board of trustees from its inception
