India’s First Pet Fair Draws 6,000 Visitors
More than 6,000 pet lovers and trade professionals helped make the first International Pet Fair in India a success.
Organized by Creature Companions magazine, the fair took place Feb. 9-10 at the NSIC Exhibition Hall in Okhla, New Delhi. While a majority of attendees came from New Delhi, approximately 1,500 attendees from across India and other countries visited the fair.
According to fair organizers, several trade professionals who attended were pleased with the turnout, and were excited to participate again next year.
“When Interzoo started, they were smaller than this,” said Manfred Bogdahn, president of Flexi International. “What you have here is an excellent start. Please do keep at it.” [June 2007 PET AGE]
Next year, the fair will be held Jan. 18-20.
