Retailers Can Share Problems and Solutions at Backer’s Aquatics Forum
Got questions, problems, success stories or ideas related to keeping or selling fish and aquarium products? Share them with your peers in a free aquatics forum on April 4, part of H.H. Backer’s Pet Industry Spring Trade Show and Educational Conference in Baltimore.
Panelists and audience members will discuss the state of the industry, trends, hot topics, merchandising and purchasing.
The forum will be moderated by Patrick Donston, owner of Absolutely Fish in Clifton, N.J., the largest fish retail store in New Jersey. A hobbyist since the age of 9, Donston completed undergraduate and masters degree programs working with fish. His love for teaching led him to retailing.
Heavy hitting panelists include world-renowned aquarist Tullio Dell Aquila of Aquarium Direct in Sylvan Beach, N.Y., and Rick Preuss, operator of Preuss Pets in Lansing, Mich., which features its own coral propagation room and on-site freshwater fish breeding.
