PET AGE Upgrades
Its Online SourceBook
More functional listings and graphical ads make the newly enhanced
PET AGE Online SourceBook even more useful for pet retailers
and other pet industry professionals seeking up-to-date information
on suppliers.
The first business-to-business online directory in the pet
industry, the PET AGE Online SourceBook contains fresh information
about manufacturers, distributors, companion animal suppliers,
manufacturers’ representatives, service providers, grooming
schools and trade associations that serve the pet industry.
It is managed by MediaBrains (Naples, Fla.), a company that
specializes in industry directories and contextual advertising.
Featured listings in the PET AGE Online SourceBook (www.petagesourcebook.com)
now include an improved lead form to make it easier for buyers
to request information; a list of other categories that featured
companies are involved in; a mouse rollover that provides
quick and detailed information about the company; and a direct
URL link to the company’s Web site.
The upgraded online directory offers additional ways for
users to interact with the advertiser’s brand. Links
to Digg, a user-generated content site where visitors discuss
topics and companies that interest them, and to Delicious,
where users keep their favorite information so it can be accessed
from any computer, allow prospective buyers to have long-term
interaction with the advertiser’s brand.
Manufacturers and service providers can create a featured
listing on the fly in three easy steps. The listing builds
automatically on their screen, so they can instantly see the
completed ad.
Advertisers also can use banner ads, box ads and other graphical
ad space on the home page to get immediate exposure to a pre-qualified
audience.
Furthermore, advertisers can use the online Advertiser Center
to track leads and measure the performance of their featured
listings. Reports on impressions, click-throughs, numbers
of leads received and more are easily accessible. Marketers
see data on all their featured listings on one page and have
the ability to drill down to see the results of a specific
ad.
“These enhancements are the result of feedback from
our clients, as well as extensive research into the newest
trends in B2B advertising,” said Joe Buckheit, chief
executive officer of MediaBrains.
