CIPS Draws Visitors From 68 Countries
The 13th China International Pet Show, held Nov. 16-19, exceeded expectations in a year of global economic crisis, according to show promoters. Nearly 27,000 registrants—up from the previous year’s 25,000—attended the show, held at the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, China.
A total of 590 companies exhibited pet products, up nearly 20 percent from 472 the previous year. Exhibitors and attendees came from 68 countries to attend the show.
“After over 10 years of continued growth, the China International Pet Show has firmly established itself as Asia’s leading exhibition in the pet product sector,” according to promoters.
China’s first professional pet association, the China Pet Accessory and Food Association, debuted at the show.
New show features, including custom-designed facilities for international visitors and a special fish area, also were launched.
The annual show, organized by the China Great Wall International Exhibition Co. and Nürnberg Global Fairs, alternates between Beijing and Guangzhou each year. CIPS 2010 will be held Oct. 30-Nov. 2 at the New China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing. For information, visit www.nuernbergglobalfairs.com. [March 2010 PET AGE]
