Pet Care Trust Presents Sue J. Busch Memorial Awards to Veterinary Technicians

Two students of veterinary technology have received 2008 Sue J. Busch Memorial Awards, administered by the Pet Care Trust (Washington), for devoting significant time and energy to improving the health of companion animals.

Each student received a $750 award:

Antoinette Sacco from the Minnesota School of Business.
Larry Silkaitis from Northern Virginia Community College.

The scholarship awards commemorate the late Sue J. Busch, former president of H.H. Backer Associates Inc. (Chicago), which publishes PET AGE magazine and produces the Pet Industry Spring and Pet Industry Christmas Trade Shows. Busch served on The Pet Care Trust’s board of trustees from its inception until her death in 1994. [March 2009 PET AGE]
