Pet Care Trust Elects Officers
Lewis Sutton and Mark Hagen will lead The Pet Care Trust (Washington) as the foundation’s president and vice president in 2009.
Sutton is senior vice president of PetAg Inc. (Hampshire, Ill.), and Hagen is vice president of Rolf C. Hagen Inc. (Montreal).
“The Pet Care Trust is being led by a board that recognizes the importance of the human-animal bond, and the programs and projects that the Trust will address in 2009 will concentrate on supporting this important connection,” Sutton said. “The PCT will focus its efforts to enhance responsible pet ownership and promote respect and compassion for people and animals.”
Bill Pearson, president of Pearson Industries Inc. (Prattville, Ala.), was named secretary, and Rob Chouinard, president of Gardner Distributing Co. (Billings, Mont.), was named treasurer.
Mary Wyld, owner of Wyld’s Wingdom Inc. (Norfolk, Va.), joined the board of directors. Other directors are Steve Segner, president of Steve’s Pet Shop (Sedona, Ariz.), and Brent Weinmann, president and chief operating officer of Vitakraft Sun Seed Co. (Bowling Green, Ohio).
Fred Schober, president of Super Dog Pet Food Co. (Leola, Pa.), retired from the board. [February 2009 PET AGE]
