H.H. Backer Associates (Chicago) recently contributed $50,000 to the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council (Washington) to support the organization’s legislative and educational programs. The contribution is 25 percent higher than the company’s 2008 contribution.
“I’m really behind PIJAC. I think it’s very important in this time of economic hardship and dwindling support that we stand behind this organization, which does so much good for the entire pet industry,” said Patty Backer, president of H.H. Backer Associates, which produces the Pet Industry Spring and Christmas Trade Shows and publishes PET AGE.
