Companies Build Product-Filled Dream House for Pets
A Canadian company is bringing together suppliers, tradesmen and consumers to build a C$1 million brick-and-mortar house designed and furnished for family pets as part of a broader effort to provide information about pets and home life.
The Professor’s House (Calgary, Alberta) wants to educate people about pet health and care as well as provide new ways for manufacturers to promote their products.
The company is targeting advertisers who want their products featured in the house and is inviting consumers to visit the Web site to vote on blueprints, pet names and pet furnishings.
The brick-and-mortar house, to be built in Calgary, Alberta, will be open to the public. It will tie in with a virtual house at www.professorshouse.com. [January 2009 PET AGE]
