The African wild dog is one of the world’s most endangered mammals, facing a number of serious threats, such as habitat loss, human persecution (hunting and poisoning), isolated populations and disease spread from domestic animals. To help support the World Wildlife Fund and their work of conserving the African wild dog population, Gold Paw Series has created an African wild dog print blanket and will be donating all of the proceeds to one of the world’s leading conservation organizations.

The blankets, which measure 66 by 48 inches, are made from plush recycled polyester fleece, with a custom-designed print that echoes the gorgeous and unique pattern of African Wild Dogs. This pattern, often referred to as “painted,” mimics the animal’s irregular, spotted coat, which features patches of black, brown, white and yellow fur.

“As a family, we’ve been helping fund the WWF’s program for nearly a decade,” says Rebecca Gadd, president of Gold Paw Series. “We’re thrilled to continue showing our support by donating the proceeds of these unique blankets to help their conservation efforts, as well as raise awareness of these endangered animals.”

The blankets are available for $39 and, true to Gold Paw Series’ standards, the blankets are sewn in the USA and the tags are made with recycled materials.
