Freshpet, Inc. announced the debut of “exciting new fresh foods for your dog and cat, using as always only fresh, natural ingredients.”

The new flavors added to this fresh line include new foods for dogs, such as Freshpet Select 5-lb Grain-Free Chicken and Spinach Recipe, Freshpet Vital Grain Free 6-Cup Variety Pack, and Freshpet Vital Turkey Liver Slice & Serve Roll for Cats.

Every new product in this healthy food line is created from only the freshest, highest quality Cat_1LB_GF_freshpetAmerican grown foods, says the company. In a press release, Freshpet stated it believes all pets deserve to benefit from eating fresher, less processed foods just like humans do to stay healthy. According to the statement, they’ve heard from thousands of pet parents who have seen their pets become happier and healthier due to a fresh diet.

All Freshpet foods are grown in the USA and made at the Freshpet Kitchens in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, using only fresh, all-natural ingredients. Freshpet never uses fillers, by-products, or rendered meals in their foods and no ingredients come from China, says the company. Unlike traditional dry and wet/canned pet food, each recipe is gently cooked at lower temperatures to retain essential vitamins and nutrients naturally found in the ingredients. Freshpet foods are found in the pet aisle refrigerator, and are kept fresh without the use of artificial or chemical preservatives. And, just like fresh human foods, all Freshpet foods include a “freshest if sold by” date and must be used within days of opening.

“We started Freshpet because we believe our pets deserve fresher foods like what we’d cook at home,” said Scott Morris, co-founder of Freshpet. “We know more and more pet parents are looking for healthier meal solutions that will help their pets live fuller, happier lives. Freshpet has expanded our pet offerings, so that now pets can experience the benefits of eating a less processed diet made of fresh meats and vegetables.”

“It is a fact that the healthier you feed your pet, the longer and happier life your pet will have,” said Dr. Katy Nelson, associate veterinarian at the Belle Haven Animal Medical Centre in Alexandria, Virginia, as well as the host and executive producer of The Pet Show with Dr. Katy. “Freshpet is what I feed my pets and recommend to all my pet parents.”
