Dr. Susan Dalton, developer and manufacturer of Dr. Dalton’s Premium Treats says she is pleased to welcome Robert Hunt to the company’s board of advisors. Hunt is an industry veteran and expert in sales, marketing and private label placement, according to the company. His addition to the company’s board of advisors supports the continued expansion and growth of Dr. Dalton’s 100 percent meat, made in the USA, premium dog treats.

With executive expertise in the organic foods and herbal supplement industries, Hunt’s career has focused on taking natural products into consumer markets, including pet care products. His strength in building sales and marketing success in organic foods is demonstrated by taking Shari Ann’s Organics into the mainstream American market. His success in the placement of Shari Ann’s organics onto store shelves alongside non-organics, revolutionized natural foods, and Hunt advanced to junior partner and eventually president of Shari Ann’s Organics.

“Robert has been a great asset in moving Dr. Dalton’s brand and identity toward its potential in the pet product industry by supporting manufacturing, scaling and prospective opportunities,” says founder Dr. Dalton. “His expertise in positioning Dr. Dalton’s Premium Treats in markets and manufacturing will continue growing our Dr. Dalton'spremium, high quality dog treats into a brand that owners feel good about purchasing for their dogs.”

Hunt has been involved with merchandising and account management in sales and marketing for name brand products for over 40 years. He has led the placement of products into retail for Horizon Natural Foods, Eden Foods, Shari Ann’s Organics, and most recently Britt’s Live Culture Foods, and Peak Formulas. According to Dr. Dalton’s, Hunt excels in establishing distribution, placement and retail for consumer goods, introducing organic snacks and juices into convenience stores and organic foods in grocery stores. The company says his expertise in retail, distribution and brokering is an asset for its expansion of premium 100 percent meat and poultry treats into the pet food industry and channels.
