The U.S. pet industry expenditures are expected to rise to an all-time high of $69 billion this year. Building off this momentum, Dogtopia, a national dog daycare franchise, is experiencing explosive growth, entering Q3 with a total of 106 stores sold and in development.

Dogtopia produced an impressive 22 percent YTD comparable same-store sales growth thus far in 2017, over 19.2 percent in 2016. As one of the leading providers of dog daycare services in the United States, the franchise has 52 locations currently open with an additional 20 locations slated to open by the end of 2017. Anticipating 75 openings in 2018, Dogtopia aims to hit the 400-unit milestone by 2021.

“[This year] is shaping up to be another incredible year for us; we’ve secured preferred financing of $50 million for our franchisees and plan to have another $50 million committed by Q4,” said Alex Samios, VP of Franchise Development for Dogtopia. “Our unparalleled level of support, proven business model, sophisticated franchisees and strong brand positioning is a major reason why Dogtopia has been so successful. We look forward to continued growth as we expand the brand into 12 more states this year.””

Dogtopia’s impressive growth has been noticed by Franchise Times magazine, which recently ranked Dogtopia as the “Best Franchise” (in the pet category) in its March 2017 Annual Zor Awards. As the leading pet franchise opportunity, the business model provides multiple revenue channels for daycare, boarding and spa services wrapped around an exciting and fun lifestyle. With plans to penetrate several new urban markets in 2017 with a smaller model, the company is continuing to target motivated franchise candidates looking to grab a piece of the booming pet industry.

Dogtopia dogs enjoy an open-play environment with protective rubber flooring to ease joints while promoting socialization, exercise, and education. Dogtopia’s fees are all-inclusive with meals prepared according to each pet parent’s request at no extra charge, or pet parents can bring their own food.
