Cloud Star Corporation, the makers of Buddy Biscuits, is teaming up with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary to be the official training treat partner for the dog and cats at the nation’s largest no-kill refuge for homeless pets.

Over the animals will be enjoying Cloud Star’s tasty, healthy and 100 percent made in the USA treats.

“We are very excited to partner with such an amazing organization that aligns with our own philanthropic goals here at Cloud Star,” Jennifer Melton, Cloud Star co-founder, said. “Most people don’t realize that many of the dogs and cats that end up in a shelter, or sanctuary like Best Friends, need help with their manners, social behavior, and temperament before they are adopted. Much of this work is done through positive training with treats, and that is where Cloud Star comes in. A dog trainer working with multiple dogs will go through hundreds of treats in a single day. In addition to dogs, cats also need positive training to keep them mentally stimulated and socialized with people. All of this training before adoption is important because it increases the success rate of a positive adoption, preparing the dog or cat for their forever home.”

Cloud Star has been committed to giving since its inception, by donating to hundreds of non-profit organizations benefiting animals, women, children and the environment. The company began in 1998 when co-founders Jennifer Melton and Brennan Johnson baked homemade low-allergen dog treats as part of their contribution to a local animal shelter bake-sale event.

Since then, their dedication to helping others has grown each year.

In addition to supplying training treats, Cloud Star will also support various Best Friends Adoption Events and Strut Your Mutt fundraising walks throughout 2014.
