Chuck & Don’s, a destination pet supply store offering a wide selection of products, is now carrying CBD pet products in each of its 30 Minnesota store locations.

The introduction of CBD pet products to the Minnesota market is another example of Chuck & Don’s commitment to being a leader in the pet retail industry by giving customers the opportunity to buy top quality goods from a local, reputable source. Products sold containing CBD include Super Snouts and Pet Releaf treats and oils. Plus, the companies that Chuck & Don’s carries strictly test their products for quality control, derived from natural hemp (not marijuana) and do not contain detectable amounts of THC, pets will receive all the health benefits of CBD without the side effects associated with THC.

“Chuck & Don’s is devoted to selling the highest-quality products that enable owners to provide the optimal level of care for their pets. We’ve seen strong demand for CBD products in the Colorado market, and we are excited to offer our customers in our Minnesota market the opportunity to give CBD products to their pets in need,” Chuck & Don’s CEO Bob Hartzell said.

CBD products are legal for purchase in Minnesota and touted as a potential natural solution for symptoms of anxiety and alleviating chronic pain. Because CBD products are derived from the hemp plant, they contain less than 0.3 percent THC, and Chuck & Don’s is dedicated to ensuring that products sold in its store contain less than 0.3 THC. Although there have been few studies published on the clinical benefits of CBD consumption, users of CBD products have reported faster results with fewer side effects than alternative options.

“There’s a lot of excitement from pet owners to find a safe and effective option for chronic pain and anxiety that improves the quality of life for their pets. We cannot as veterinary professionals claim any health benefits due to the limited research of CBD and legal restrictions, but the experiences patients are having using CBD products is matching that expectation in a positive way,” said Dr. Elizabeth Parks, a local Minnesota veterinarian.

It is recommended that pet owners give at least 15 minutes before or after their pet’s consumption of food when administering CBD products. In addition to consulting with your veterinarian, pet owners are asked give their pets CBD products responsibly and make well-informed, responsible choices.
