Cats Against Cancer has generated nearly $16 million toward finding a cure for myeloma.

Bruce and Kathy Elsey, cofounders of Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat, started the Cats Against Cancer Campaign following Kathy’s myeloma diagnosis to aid the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) and push advancements in cancer research.

“We chose to partner with the MMRF because they have a proven track record of results with one primary goal—finding a cure,” Dr. Bruce Elsey said.

The campaign runs for 5 months every year and spans over multiple social media outlets, allowing users to share their individual experiences and support the campaign’s mission.

They can also download a coupon from the campaign landing page that allows them to save $3 on their next purchase of a 40 pound bag of Precious Cat Ultra Litter. For every $3 saved, Precious Cat donates $3 to the MMRF.

Since 2009, the Elsey family and Precious Cat have contributed close to $8 million to the MMRF, and their efforts did not stop there.

“By working together to leverage their generous annual support for our yearend matching gift campaign, we have raised an additional $8 million from more than 500,000 donors,” said Paul Giusti, president and CEO of the MMRF.
