The American Pet Products Association (APPA) is proud to announce three staff members have earned certifications from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), and one was named to the IAEE’s 20 Under 30 program.

Alexandra Simonfay, Associate Manger, Industry Relations; Sarah Lee Bopp, Manager, Booth Sales & Operations; and Kaitlin Simonfay, Associate Manager, Exhibitor Services, earned IAEE’s Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation. The CEM is a premier mark of professional achievement, as the individuals who earn this designation are recognized as knowledgeable and dedicated professionals with a long term commitment to the exhibitions and events industry. The program is taught by practicing industry professionals who bring real-life experiences and years of industry knowledge to the classroom.

“I’m proud that these staff members had the motivation and desire to learn more about the industry and to grow their professional skill sets,” APPA Executive Vice President and COO Andy Darmohraj said. “This achievement further demonstrates their dedication to their careers and commitment to making Global Pet Expo the best event in the industry. They should feel very accomplished.”

In addition to completing the CEM program, Alexandra Simonfay was also named as one of IAEE’s 20 Under 30 honorees. Simonfay will be recognized at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Anaheim, California, December 6-8, 2016. The IAEE 20 Under 30 program affords these young professionals the opportunity to attend Expo! Expo! and help further their education and experience in the exhibition and events industry.
