The next class American Pet Professionals (APP) will be holding as part of its “Pet Industry 101” event series will be “How to Start Your Pet Business,” on Wednesday, May 24. The class will help you hit the ground running with whatever pet business idea you have.

APP member Linda Williams, principal and lead marketing counselor at The Brand Counselors, will be the event’s guest speaker. According to APP, Williams “has helped a start-up pet retail business go from nearly closing their doors to being a successful retailer…  by creating a business strategy, marketing plan and teaching about profitability and how to grow and stay successful.”

Attendees will learn about what opportunities the market has to offer and what goals they should set when starting their business:

Market Opportunity in the Pet Industry:
Research (market and trend data, best practice examples) how to search, where to search, what to search
Key business drivers/metrics

APP founder and President Nancy Hassel will also be speaking and helping guide aspiring pet professionals throughout the event. It will take place 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. EST at the Marriott Melville in Melville, New York.

To attend this event, which costs $34.97 per person ($24.97 for APP members), you must register ahead of time. Seating is limited.
