Dogs and cats take over New York City when the American Kennel Club (AKC) joins forces with The International Cat Association (TICA) to bring the tenth annual AKC Meet the Breeds to Piers 92 and 94 on Saturday, February 9th. This event gives animal lovers the unique opportunity to meet and play with hundreds of adorable dogs and cats while learning about responsible pet ownership. Tickets are on sale now.

“AKC Meet the Breeds is such an exciting and educational event that we truly enjoy bringing to New York City each year,” said AKC Executive Secretary Gina DiNardo. “We have a beautiful lineup of dogs and cats for people to meet and play with, all while learning about being a responsible pet owner and what breed is right for their lifestyle.”

AKC Meet the Breeds is part of The American Kennel Club and Westminster Kennel Club present Meet & Compete, which also features the 6th Annual Masters Agility Championship at Westminster brought to you by Purina Pro Plan. One daytime ticket will grant event-goers access to both AKC Meet the Breeds and the Masters Agility Championship at Westminster. Attendees will be able to interact with almost 200 breeds of dogs and cats in elaborately decorated booths depicting elements from the breed’s history, and learn about the breed straight from the experts. AKC Meet the Breeds will take place in Piers 92 and 94 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
