More than 30,000 Visitors Expected at Aquarama 2005
Aquarama, to be held May 26-29, 2005, at the Singapore Expo
in Singapore, will take on new dimensions with exhibits devoted
to water gardening and pet products.
InterGarden 2005 will offer everything from tabletop fountains
to full-scale aquascaping supplies, pond plant propagation
and cultivation, while PetAsia 2005 will showcase pet products
from companies that have major presences in the aquatic sector,
according to CMP Asia Trade Fairs Pte. Ltd. (Singapore).
All exhibits will be open to trade visitors for the first
three days, and open to consumers on the last day.
A trade conference and a scientific workshop will complement
the trade show.
Trade presentations, on May 26-27, will focus on new developments
in the ornamental aquatic industry, and on import, export
and health regulations.
”With major fish health scares currently gripping the
industry and crossing international boundaries, this session
becomes a ‘must-attend’ for anyone involved in
the production and transportation of live fishes,” said
Julian Lim, a spokesperson for Aquarama.
Scientific presentations, on May 27-28, will focus on the
biology and genetics of cichlids. Presenters include Professor
Axel Meyer of the University Konstanz in Germany and Professor
Thomas Kocher of the University of New Hampshire (Durham,
N.H.).
Aquarama 2003 attracted more than 30,000 trade and consumer
visitors, and had 200 exhibitors from 24 countries.
