Global Pets Forum Set for January
TSet to the theme of “Who Is Moving My Boxes?”
the sixth Global Pets Forum will take place Jan. 20-21, 2005,
at the Marriott Hotel in Brussels, Belgium, providing an educational
program and networking opportunities for attendees.
Razia Richter, senior vice president of Petco Animal Supplies
Inc. (San Diego), and representatives from Fressnapf of Germany
and Iams Europe will explain the demands they place on their
vendors, how they translate consumers’ wishes into the
products they carry, and how an efficient supply chain design
may be created with suppliers to maintain cost leadership.
Additionally, representatives from Iams Europe and KTN will
explain how they, as manufacturer and a partner in logistics,
designed an effective, efficient logistical chain together
while meeting the preferences of their customers.
Attendees also will receive concrete, practical take-away
tools from a workshop that uses a recognizable case from the
pet industry to address supply chain issues.
Other highlights include the presentation of the 2005 Global
Pets Forum Award.
Last year, 160 delegates from more than 25 countries participated
in the Global Pets Forum. For more information, visit www.petsinfo.net/forum.html
