PIDA Wins Awards
Cited for its outstanding marketing materials and its new
Web site, the Pet Industry Distributors Association (Bel Air,
Md.) recently won two Circle of Excellence Awards from the
Maryland Society of Association Executives.
PIDA won a first-place trophy in the public relations category
for its Power of D-Growth Through Distribution marketing materials.
The marketing materials, developed to help pet product distributors
explain their value to suppliers and retailers, include four
brochures that discuss sales and marketing support, logistical
expertise and overall service superiority.
PIDA also won a first-place trophy in the Web site category
for its redesigned site. The Web site expands on the Power
of D materials with actual case studies that demonstrate how
effective manufacturer-distributor relationships work to drive
costs out of the channel and improve efficiency.
“MSAE’s Circle of Excellence Awards recognize
Maryland-based associations for exemplary work done on behalf
of their members and the community,” said Nancy Nickles-Dawson,
MSAE president. “PIDA’s marketing program and
Web site set a standard for which other associations should
strive and can certainly be counted among Maryland’s
finest.” [March 2005 PET AGE]
