Co-founded by the SMU Cox School of Business’ Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship, the Dallas 100 ranks the top 100 Dallas entrepreneurial companies annually based on percentage growth and absolute dollar growth over the previous three years. The Institute, working with the accounting firm BKD LLP CPA and Advisors, examined sales from hundreds of companies from 2014 to 2016 (the last year for which complete data is available). According to Caruth Institute data, this year’s winning companies collectively generated billions of dollars in sales over just the past three years.

“Reflected by our place on the Dallas 100, the Dallas Fort-Worth pet-loving community continues to strengthen,” said Nick Padlo, CEO of The Pet Loss Center. “Our pets are family and deserve the best that we can give them, in both life and death. We are here to support pet parents through their most difficult days.”

The Dallas 100 awards ceremony takes place on November 16 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. The ranking of the top 100 fastest-growing companies will be revealed at the ceremony.

“We’re thrilled and honored to be included in the Dallas 100!,” said Coleen Ellis, CT, CPLP; Pet Loss Pioneer of The Pet Loss Center. “From the caring services we offer our families and veterinary partners, to the family atmosphere we have for our employees, we’re deeply proud of our accomplishments and growth.”

Pet parents and veterinary professionals rely on The Pet Loss Center for all final arrangement needs for their beloved pets, including respectful and dignified cremation services; one-on-one pet loss support; memorial urns, caskets, jewelry and artwork; The Trusted Journey® Cremation Tracking System to ensure the safety and security of the cremation process; cremation viewings; a quiet and serene environment appropriate for final rituals and good-byes; and RACE (Registry of Approved Continuing Education) approved continuing education classes for veterinary professionals. Since launching in 2014, The Pet Loss Center has grown to seven locations across Texas, Florida and Virginia, employing more than 65 team members. Next year, the plan is to open 10 more locations.
